what kind of food do you have NOW?

The new food menu is chef-driven and season-riding. We source ingredients locally and inspiration globally.

Do we have outdoor seating?

Yes, we have front and back patios. They will reopen in May. The front has a partial view of sunsets and the Olympics. The back patio is 1600 sf and partially covered and heated.

Are we taking reservations?

We happily take reservations at joinus@drumlin.pub.

Will you serve liquor?

Yes, we focus on spirit forward classic cocktails done well. Choose from our menu or build your own. We use only spirits from small producers, including in our well drinks.

Will you still have all those taps?

We now have half the taps we did before so we have room for spirits. Nine taps are for rotating local beer and cider, the rest are for NA drinks and batch cocktails.

Will you still have pretzel knots?

Yes, and with a new delicious cheese sauce.

Is truck food still ok to bring in?

No. We thought about this a lot, knowing that this would impact families with kids. We concluded that supporting the food trucks and supporting our experienced full time staff with living wages and employer paid health care are incompatible. You can still bring food truck food into Ridgecrest Pub next door if you’re 21+. There are also picnic tables nearby in front of Ridgecrest Books.

Will you still allow kids?

We welcome people of all ages ready to enjoy the experience in a space shared with others nearby.

We will also add regular community nights, with a limited menu and a more casual setting.

Are pets ok in Drumlin?

Because we are now a full service restaurant, only service animals are allowed inside. We’ll add pet friendly spots on the front and back patios in May.

Will you still have live music?

We love live music, but it couldn’t sustain Drumlin due to lack of live music listeners.

We are excited to eventually bring in local musicians to play “dinner music” once we get up and running. Dinner music is unamplified instrumental music that nobody has to clap for or dance to.

For now, the stage has comfy couches and low tables on it, which works great for drinks and snacks.

Can I order Drumlin food at Ridgecrest Pub?

Yes you can, when Drumlin is open and as long as we aren’t super busy. We’ll have some late night food too.

What is a drumlin?

Drumlin is an Irish word for “little hill”, used specifically for elongated teardrop shaped hills created when ice sheets melt. Drumlins are all over the world, including in Ireland, and in much of north America. Seattle was covered in a giant ice sheet a thousand feet thick 10,000 years ago, and when it melted it left drumlins in a north/south orientation. Phinney Ridge is a drumlin, Capitol Hill is a drumlin, and the ridge that the Ridgecrest neighborhood is built around, and that the Drumlin is at the top of, is a drumlin. We chose the word Drumlin for our name because it is Irish and sounds nice, it is geologically significant, and just like Irish pubs, drumlins are found everywhere and they are a part of life for people nearby. The word drumlin also has the word “drum” in it, appropriate for when we do live music again someday.
